DemoCrise is a space for critical voices. We explore how democracy is challenged — by authoritarianism, conflict, and manipulation — and how people resist, rebuild, and imagine new futures. Our work connects research, history, and activism to spark dialogue and action across Africa and beyond.
Our Focus
We study the crises of democracy in Africa and the wider world: authoritarian regimes, terrorism, disinformation, and state fragility. By confronting these realities, we shed light on the forces that undermine freedom.
